Playlist Max???

I have a minor problem that perhaps someone can help me out.  I am big fan of creating playlist by making root.mu3, the only issue I have is that it seems that I am stuck at 4642 songs.  I have put more songs and delete the root and create playlist again, and songs I only show or recognized is 4642.  What is going on?

What have you set as your max files in folder setting?

first of all thanks for the reply.  And secondly, I'm not really sure where I can find this.  I have searched my iPod and I don't see that anywhere.  Would you mine directing me there?  thanks!
