ipod video 60gb clear uninstalling

HI, I uninstalled Rockbox, and cleaned all folders and all files, keeping just the Apple's OS in iPod. I'm pretty shure that I didn't forget to delete anyone of Rockbox files.

Then, I installed Rockbox again, and it not comes in default settings. It opened in icatcher and the hardware EQ settings like the way I did before uninstall.

Where's this settings are memorized ?

PS: I repeat this operation by 3 times and it always happened.

If you boot up with the hold switch on, it will clear your settings.

You can also the the function Main Menu --> Manage Settings --> Reset settings.

Settings are stored in an otherwise unused sector of your hard drive, so they are not cleared by reinstalling the software.  This is clearly described in the manual.  There is work underway that would change this so that settings are stored in a .cfg file.

I know about both reset settings. I'm just curious to understand why it cames memorized after reinstalling.
