Greyscale target backdrop support addition to sourcecode: meaning?
« on: November 13, 2006, 10:41:44 AM »
It's early here and the caffeine hasn't yet kicked in; could someone please further explain the development in the sourcecode today,

Quote
Backdrop support for greyscale targets. WPS backdrop is untested.

Thanks--

I haven't checked it out, but I guess it's like it says on the tin...

It allows a grayscale (and colour should be automatically converted to grayscale) image to be used as the background for the menus.

I can imagine it will look a bit of a mess, but maybe a very simple graphic on the right hand side would work OK.

Absolutely right and the info. is now in the manuals.  I just beat them to the punch with my query, with this great development:  the possibility of greyscale backdrop images in the file browser for the black and white players!

Now if people just would develop and post their greyscale backdrop ideas--come on, you iRiver H-1xx users!

:)
