Won't play... "file not found" ???
(1/1)
ajrobson:
Last night I copied some more music over to my X5 and moved some of the files (all .flac) into some other directories.
As I had also recently had some trouble creating some config files (it would sure be nice if, when changing a setting and then wanting to save it, that it would save it into the one that is currently loaded!) I went in and deleted several *.cfg files that I created by mistake.
After that I gave it a nice charging.
This morning it won't play. :o
I can see the music directory and files, but when I browse to one and attempt to play, the window shows: unknown artist, etc... files not found and nothing happens.
I can still access the music via USB. Before I go to the extreme of uninstalling Rockbox, I was hoping someone might have an idea? Maybe just try reinstalling Rockbox on top of the current installation?

1; Wrong place to post this - it doesn't regard installing or removal.
2; More information please;
Are you using tagcache? (You are saying you can see the music directory and files... Wich would indicate you are not using tagcache.. But i'm not too sure)
What version of RockBox are you using?
ajrobson:
Rats. I didn't mean to post here. I was reading some of the removal threads and screwed up.
As far as version.... guess it doesn't matter since it started working. While browsing the folder on the unit thinking I might find that info, I browsed into the .rockbox folder and noticed that it will reboot when doing that... and voila!! It works. This after shutting it off and rebooting about a dozen times the other way.
I don't know what a "tagcache" is.

That's not the Rockbox folder. You are selecting the rockbox.iaudio file, which is the Rockbox firmware, which restarts Rockbox.
