international USB charging?

Hi,
I'm going to take my rockboxed iRiver H340 with me to South Africa soon...it's 220V plugs there, so I won't be taking my AC charger. Can I still USB charge without frying the unit? Is the voltage drawn from USB charging universal?

Using PMs to annoy devs about bugs/patches is not a good way to have the issue looked at.
