Is it possible to make Rockbox support APE?

I have some APEs from the whole CD. And I hope to stuff them into my x5 without seperation of APE into several pieces of WAV.

RotAtoR:
I believe there are two reasons why APE (Monkey's Audio) will not be supported in Rockbox:

1. Its license is incompatible with the GPL.
2. It most likely too processor intensive to playback in realtime on Rockbox targets.

soap:
That being said, there is no reason to go from APE to WAV.  FLAC is a suitable choice.

Of course, we can convert a APE file into so big a whole FLAC file, or several pieces of FLAC files. To be FLAC  needs conversion and seperation, too.

crescentfresh:
APE never really caught on much.  Is the lossless compression with APE that much better than FLAC that there would be a noticeable size difference in your files???
