ok, that is what i am saying, i did do that step but it wont find my video file,
ill try it again but just so you guys know
the video file is here ill show you where it is on my cmop.
c:\program files\videolan\vlc\input.mpg
i have even copied and pasted the name of the input.mpg in the file but it still says unable to open input.mpg

If i were you I would use the mvpd player in Ipodlinux; they've got audio (although it is uncompressed).

have anyone thought of using format similar to

this is used by Nintendo DS homebrew for playing videos...
it basically a mpeg1video + mp2 audio + custom header...
player is opensource and uses ARM9 (67 MHz) for video and ARM7 (33 MHz) for audio...
can't that be usefull? (especially for arm targets)
