ipod 5th gen HELP PLEASE!

i did what it tell me to do in wiki FAQ and i updated it to 1.2 apple firmware and now it doesnt work. Would this have any thing to do with the problem?

When you update, it removes the Rockbox bootloader.

i restored my ipod and re did the rock box thing in a command window exactly how it told me to and i redownloaded the files and when i took it off the usb it comes up with an error about connecting it back to itunes to restore it? can you please help.
