ipod 5th gen HELP PLEASE!

Put it this way, until we know what is wrong we will have to keep asking you questions. The more questions we have to ask, the more time it will take.

It sounds to me like you are missing the ".rockbox" directory. Try moving the rockbox.zip to your ipod and extracting it from there. The reason for this is that the .rockbox (note the dot) directory is often hidden by your Operating System, so you'll only see the rockbox.ipod file.
