trouble installing Rockbox on 30GB Video iPod

Hallo

today i got my brandnew iPod (30GB video -> 5th gen i think), Firmware 1.2

It is clearly visible as Harddrive or better as removable Mass storage device, but i can't find the "drive nuber" with ipodpatcher, i tried the nubers 0 - 26 like the manual says.

After the first attempt i thaugt it don't works because the HD wars RAW, so formated the iPod under win XP with Fat32 it does not work either.

Does not work on my second PC although.

I get two different messages

on 0 i get: this is no iPod -> aborting

on 1: Error reading from disk: Falscher Paramter (im' from germany :-) )

on all other nubers: Kann die angegebene Datei nicht finden (can't find the file specified )

Standard erweiterter PCI-zu-USB universeller Hostcontroller, PCI-Bus 0, Gerät 2, Funktion 1.  Gerät funktioniert wie vorgesehen.

IEEE 1394 Host Controller wurde nicht gefunden.

If your ipod is brand new, then it will more likely than not be a "5.5g" - these are not yet supported by Rockbox.

damed ... i thougt just the 60Gig version would be the 5.5gen

and by the way, why can't i find the Ipod withc ipodpatcher? because its a 5.5Gen or is there someother error?

Unzip the previously downloaded zip file into your ipod root. This is the patched build...

if i can't access it from the cmd i can't install the patched rockbox i think

Did you do all steps?

2. Download these patched files instead of the regular ones (place them in the "rockbox" folder in your main harddrive:
    a) ipod_fw http://www.rockbox.org/tw...filename=ipod_fw_5.5g.exe Rename it "ipod_fw".
     b)ipodpatcher (patched myself) http://www.megaupload.com/?d=L2LCU2WE
     c)bootloader http://www.sefia.ca/rockbox/index.php
  (Download the  "rockbox-5.5g-20061101.zip" build and the bootloader below it)
