Problems with installing WPS
Nuker:
Hi guyz!
First of all, congrats to the fabulous RockBox Firmware! It's great!!
But I have a problem installing some WPS for my H10 6GB. It installed the latest daily build of RockBox and it is working without any problems, but after choosing a different skin (downloaded from here http://www.rockbox.org/twiki/bin/view/Main/WpsIaudioX5 ... I use the X5 WPS, because the text says they will also work for H10) i only get some crappy WPS. The colors are changing, but my Player is not able to load the bmps for the gui.
I installed the WPS this way:
- Downloading and extracting the files from the zip file
- Move the "Theme" and "Wpa" folder to ".rockbox" on my player
After that, I can choose the Theme from the menu, but I can't see any of those images coming with the theme.
I also didn't see any images right after installing the RockBox Firmware. Both themes delivered with the default installation package doesn't show any gui images.
I already searched in every FAQ and the Forum about the problem, but I wasn't able to solve it. I hope someone can help me.

Edit:
I just tried the latest CVS version ... it's the same problem here ...
bascule:
The "Theme" and "Wpa"[sic] folders already exist in the .rockbox folder and should not be copied over.
You should extract the .zip into the root of your player with the 'preserve paths' or 'preserve directories' option set in your zip application, so that the correct files automatically go into the correct folders.
Nuker:
I don't overwrite the existing folders, I just add the new files to the "theme" and "wps" folders with their correct folders ... e.g: after extracting a WPS i have the following folders and files:
/.rockbox/wps/crossbones.wps
/.rockbox/wps/crossbones/image1.bmp
/.rockbox/wps/crossbones/image2.bmp
...
That should be correct, isn't it? I can also choose the theme from the menu in RockBox, but it doesn't show the GUI images ...
Llorean:
What GUI images? In the menu system themes only replace the backdrop.
The only other images you see are in the WPS, not really a "GUI".

Yes, that's the correct structure, with the addition of:
/.rockbox/themes/crossbones.cfg
So there are two things:
I don't see a 'crossbones' WPS on the page you linked to, so it's possible you downloaded one for another target that has images too large for the H10 to deal with
or
Llorean's point - what are you expecting? Are you sure you are going into the WPs to see the images. I think you are, but I have to make sure... ;)
