updated to 11-06 build and now tagnavi_custom.config doesn't work

(1/1)

robertjm:
Tonight I updated my tagnavi_custom.config to 11-06 (don't remember what version from).

Anyways, I downloaded the latest version and extracted it to my Ipod Nano (1st Gen). There was a .rockbox directory, as well as a rockbox.ipod file. Both were loaded to the root folder on the ipod.

AFter powering the ipod down and restarting, it came up with the default menu options. Next, I changed the main menu line to custom, but that didn't do anything.

Finally, I uploaded a fresh copy of the tagnavi_custom.config which HAD been working. Still didn't work after restarting.

I attached a copy of my custom configuration (there's a 1 added on the end of the file, however, that extra charactor doesn't exist onthe one on my ipod.)

Thoughts?

Did you reset your settings? That cures most version-upgrade problems.

I don't think the attached file ever worked, as it contains syntax from two different generations:
e.g.

"browse"        -> artist -> album -> title = "fmt_strip_trk"

and

"browse"        -> album ? tracknum > "0" -> title = "%02d %s" tracknum title

(only the first one is correct now).

So I suspect it will partly work, but have not time to investigate further right now...

robertjm:
Well it has worked and after reading a previously saved configuration file its working again.

No dobut will have to clean up the code though so its only one version in there.

Thanks for looking!

Robert
