Rockbox on a MacPod (not a request)

<< < (4/6) > >>

rasher:
I think it's pretty obvious this is a hoax. It has all the usual signs:

* No verifiable facts (ie. source)
* Extremely vague description of how it was done
* Not certain it'll be released
* Author has "lost interest" (on the forum linked)If it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck...

mightybrick:
It is a hoax.  In his video "proof" the name of his iPod in iTunes when it was connected to his computer was Saphiroth, but when his iPod was disconnected, the name of his iPod magically changes to Floydpod.  The name your iPod is assigned in iTunes is the name it keeps until it is reformatted.  He used two 5g ipods.  One macpod, and one winpod.  How clever!   :P

scorche:
I have never understood why people do this...

I found it interesting that he put his name and the names of the friends on the credits, but then put "Rockbox by...... Miscellaneous"

Kids these days...

soap:
I understand people posting hoax videos "proving" they did something even 1% of the general population cares about.  Those Super Mario Bros. on-an-ipod and MacOSx on-an-ipod hoaxes made sense,  but hoaxing the Rockbox community?
Can faking mad-Rockbox-coding skills get you laid now?

Chronon:
Yeah.  That's kind of an endorsement of Rockbox in a sad sort of way.   :-\
