Will Rockbox Development be stopped for Nano 1.Gen?
JdGordon:
rockbox doesnt ever drop support for a target, especially not because a new version has come out (hell, wasnt the x5 the first target which actually got sound working while it was stil being produced?)
rockbox isnt developed for individual targets, its all done in a generic way and if a target has a capability then it will work, (e.g colour vs b&w screen).
so no, rockbox will not drop nano support ever.. (well in the forseaable future)

Thanks for your answers!
dan_a said it all! But the only thing I´am really desiring is more battery life.Rockbox does the Job pretty perfect(The EQ is a DREAM!).Thx by the way, when PayPale registration is trough, I finally donate some bucks

--- Quote ---Of course, there's almost always room for improvement, but as far as I'm concerned, Rockbox for the 1st gen iPod is pretty much feature-complete (granted, I don't use many accessories that use the dock).

I have to agree on that. I picked up a used Nano to try it out and
I'm really happy with it. It's less fun to navigate than the Iriver, but
the small size makes up for this.
--- Quote ---Not to turn this into a wishlist thread, but what are you looking for that isn't available now?

- Better protection of personal settings.
I normally just unplug the Nano, when done with copying
files onto it. This often causes a loss of my personal settings
like the chosen font. This never happens with the Iriver.
- A Menu entry to shut down the Nano.
Holding PLAY/PAUSE to stop the Ipod doesn't work that well.
I'd much rather have an additinal Menu option to turn off the
unit immediately.
- Support for FM transmitters.
These 1st gen Nano FM transmitters sell on ebay quite cheaply
(as they don't work with the newer models). They do not need
their own battery, connect to the Nano without cables and are
small enough to carry around all day. Having a Rockbox Radio station
in you pocket would be fun.
