I had similar experiences with Gurmukhi http://www.omniglot.com/writing/gurmuki.htm which also has upper and lower vowels similar to Thai. I didn't get much help  >:(

i try to convert some thai (linux/unix) bdf fonts using convbdf to fnt font but Thai display as blank,  (converstion has header parsed).
