JPmyPod-H_85: New great WPS with Cover Art for Nano

I created this ipod NANO wps so my girlfriend would use rockbox in her Nano!!

(I don't know how to upload it to the rockbox Gallery)
I own an Iriver H340 so I adapted a wps from it. It wasn't easy due to the different builds with different patches.
This wps needs Album Art and Scrolling Margins patches.
It works with ace214 build ( http://forums.rockbox.org/index.php?topic=6934.msg56048 )
Doesn't work with pijulius or senab builds because they lack the scrolling margins patch.
I have one for pijulius build but it doesn't scroll the information so you miss a lot if tittles are long. I may work on that, but senab is no longer updating builds and pijulius hadn't done for a month.
For best result resize the cover art to 85x85 pixels.
Shows extra info when hold key is pressed.
Adapted from MyPod-H for Iriver H3xx.
Needs some fixing on battery and pause/fastforward icons (that is why version is 0.
It has no background by default you can use whatever you want. There are some on the zip file.

If you want to upload to the gallery though, you can follow the instructions on the TWikiRegistration page to get an wiki account activated, and then head over to the WPS gallery page and follow the instructions.

This forum is NOT FOR POSTING WPSes.

Please stop uploading more screenshots. The WPS gallery is for hosting the WPS. If you refuse to put it there, put your screenshots at your offsite hosting. And in the future, read the forum posting guidelines.

1. First thing I did was read the forum guidelines:
"This is NOT a WPS gallery, and WPSes should not be attached to your posts."
I did not attach a WPS.
2. I don't refuse to load it to the gallery just I have yet to find the time to study how to do it.
Feel free to do it yourself if you know how.
3. The link for the wps is from the offsite web.

Sory if I can't post the screendumps. But what is the point to anounce an wps without the screendump? If it causes so much trouble please delete the attachments.
I only posted this because I saw others have done the same. I just wanted some feedback which you can't get at the gallery.
I only wanted to share my work with the rest of rockbox user.

BTW: Calling this part of the forum "WPS and Customization" and not letting people show their work on them is a bit weird.
You can't share ideas at the Gallery. I hope the rules are due to hosting resources.

If you actually read the WHOLE rules, you can announce one that's posted in the proper place and still discuss it here. As well, you can post screendumps of in-progress for posting. The rules in no way prevent discussion here.

All they prevent is you using the limited space we have for forum attachments for screendumps that belong in the WPS Gallery (notice the use of the word "gallery") rather than on the discussion forum.

Well you missed the point where we don't want people advertising WPSes in general.

The whole idea is to have one good, organized place for them, that being the WPS gallery.

The forum is for discussion, NOT posting/display. That's why it says clearly in the rules that this forum is not a WPS gallery. It goes on to say that attached WPSes are not allowed or deleted, but I thought the intent was fairly clear that this is for discussing creating them, rather than for announcing them.

I'm not terribly sure how much discussion a WPS even *needs* once it's actually *done*.

Suggestions once is done? We would still be driving cars from the 19th century...
Let's say I create a wps and ask people for feedback to know if it is woking well or they miss something.
So would it be alright if I just mention is a work in progress, beta version, or simply I say I have and idea for a wps that look like this?

The trick is that you not only ignored the rules, but you attached a large number of screenshots to the post as forum attachments, *and* didn't bother to post your WPS in the proper place.

The Jack post is a problem post as well, but if you notice the other one is a clean, single-screenshot (per wps) announcement of a WPS that is actually in the WPS gallery. It is in every way in compliance.

I aknowledge my mistake of posting the screenshots as attachments (i didn't know what I was doing)
Then I modified it.
If I posted more than one screenshot is because it shows different info if you press the hold button, and it looks different if there is a cover art than when it is not present.
So the big deal is that it is not in the gallery, isn't it?
I want feedback which I can't get from the gallery.
Is is not that I didn't bother, I started reading the instructions and thought it was very complicated for such a simple task.
It is is 5:30 am now here, really late. I will try tomorrow to put it in the gallery tomorrow.
Will you then let me keep my post?

You posted it somewhere else though, that's the thing. You can post it in the gallery, and link to it from here *exactly* like you can post it somewhere else and link to it from here. So how exactly can't you get feedback from the gallery, but can when posted elsewhere?

So YES! I get the point. "If it is not in the gallery I can't talk about it here".
Please put that as a rule to avoid this kind of things.
RULE: In order for someone to open a thread to discuss for a wps it MUST be loaded first to the Gallery.
End of the problem.
And I had explained many times why I hadn't posted it at the gallery.
I am a bit stupid and thought it was complicated.
I will try tomorrow. If I don't do it, please feel free to delete this whole thing.

It can be talked about here. I mean, how could you discuss a work-in-progress WPS if it had to be posted in the gallery, incomplete, first.

As I said, the idea is that the gallery is the official place, we like people to actually be able to find the WPSes easily.

The forums are for discussion. Static information, such as "This WPS exists" goes in the wiki.
