I don't get it, the first thing i do if i'm confused about something is search the forums, then google. I try everything I can before posting a new topic. Search people!

No need to be rude about it, it is a simple question, thats why its so short.
Phase 1 - I had many videos on my ipod(5g) and watched them all the time
Phase 2 - I put rockbox on my ipod (also 5g) and now i dont know how to watch them
Question - How do i watch them?

Siple enough?

Llorean answered your question, tpoke.  Right now, video on Ipod is in the early alpha stages (i.e. doesn't work too well).  Switching to the default Apple OS to watch videos is the best way to view them at the moment.  You can switch to the default Apple OS by holding down MENU until you see the bootloader say, "loading default OS" (or something similar), then letting go of it - about 20 seconds later, you're back in AppleOS and can view them.

Not to mention Rockbox only supports MPEG1 and MPEG2, neither of which are the formats AppleOS plays. This is clearly mentioned in the instructions for MpegPlayer

Thank you gorzirra, does running the Apple OS erase settings in the Rockbox OS? Also, does holding menu down re-boot the Rockbox OS, if not how do I do that? Just dont want to go back to watch my videos and have all my themes and seetings erased to defaults.

Thanks Alot

No your themes and settings will not be erased. You can switch back and forth between RB & the Apple OS as much as you want. To get back into RB you just need to to a hard reboot, ie, hold down select and menu for 5+ seconds.

I feel the need to point out that all of this is covered in both the faq and the manual. (Which would explain why you got the seemingly negative responses.)

A suggestion then, is to browse through the whole manual so you know what you're getting into.

I'm just very pro-documentation. We had some volunteers put a lot of work into it, so it's always disappointing to see a question the docs could've answered if someone had just read them.:)
