ipod mini: "Rockbox error -1" when trying to uninstall

That is the iPod disk mode.  It is not a Rockbox screen.

Why do you suspect part of Rockbox is still on your iPod?
Is it because you see the Rockbox bootloader graphic on your screen?
Are you actually getting the "Rockbox error -1" upon booting?  If so you need to use the Apple restore tool again.

Or is it simply because you expect 60GB of free space?

Hard drive manufactures sell based on GB = gigabyte = 109 = 1,000,000,000
Windows (and I assume other operating systems) displays GiB = gibibyte = 230 = 1,073,741,824
A 60 GB iPod only has 55.6 GiB of capacity, and unless you are displaying hidden folders in Windows Explorer, you aren't going to see the "iPod_Control" folder where all the Apple OS goodies hide.
