Customise the PEEP noise when skipping tracks?

The PEEP noise when skipping tracks....

Is it feasible to make this noise customisable.. i.e. specify your own audio file. I'm sure there are nice sounds out there for the same purpose.

Only by modifying the source and re-compiling, AFAIK

lowlight:
The beep is not a audio file, it's a square waveform generated in the code.
