stuck on the Rockbox splash screen

Hi all,
I've just installed Rockbox on my 4th generation Ipod photo and when it boots into Rockbox it goes no further than the splash screen.
What aren't I doing right?
And how do I access the menu screen?
I know it sounds simple and stupid but it's much like me.

You're using a CVS build right?
If so, the manual would definitely be a good thing for you to look at.

edit: from another post in the apple forum, it sounds like there might be a problem with current builds.. hmmm.

It is a current build.
I reformated and reinstalled and it seems to be working.
If it crashes again I'll revert to a more stable build.
