Accelerated scroll feature

I have been into the RB manual to some degree, haven't read it cover to cover yet; had a quick question.

Can someone point me to the most recent version of RB with accelerated scrolling? I'm happy with recent daily build with this exception. If there is a way to just apply a patch to what I currently have installed, that would be great.

I searched forum, found this link to what seems to be a fairly current version.

Is this the most current build that incorporates this feature? If there's a way to patch the current version, any advice (regarding which directory in .rockbox I need to modify). Just installed it yesterday, liking it so far. Thought I'd ask those in the know.

There are certain unsupported builds that have included the scroll acceleration patch.  Unfortunately, to my knowledge, it is no longer in sync with the CVS source.  Your options are to find an older unsupported build that includes the patch and use that, get source that will compile with that patch applied and build your own, or stick with the main build and forgo accleration for the time being.

Chronon was right, but since he posted that, obo updated the tracker page with a synched version of the patch. Here's the forum thread with the link for discussion.

ok. i'm officially remedial. forgot to mention that i was loading this on a 30gb ipod video. obviously the color/photo build submitted by Kitty did not load properly for me. don't spose anybody's inclined to compile a version for this unit with the accel. scroll feature incorporated?

obviously new to this...trying to read manual and the wiki little by little.

By now, both ace214 and I have compiled custom builds that include this patch for most ipods, so if you don't want to take the time to learn about patching yourself, you can try either of ours. Compare the extra patches we've each included and pick whichever one fits you best. You can try one after the other too. Go to the unsupported builds forum to see both threads.

Understand though that these are unofficial builds--you need to leave the comments in their respective threads if you have problems.
