No, we can't.  Uploading your scrobbler log has nothing to do with Rockbox.

@eK3eKyToPa: Have you really tried reading that thread before asking here? As I can see from the author's first post it seems that it explains how it works in excess. Even if you still can't figure out what to do after reading that, wouldn't be more wise to ask there? You would probably have a better chance of getting help there and maybe by the author of the script himself.

@Yotto: Can you really tell me since *you* can't (or maybe don't want to) answer his question, why really bother posting this? Also, why you claim  that *we* can't answer his question? How are you so sure that no one cannot (or even don't want to) help him out?

On a side notice, since Last.fm logging is now in CVS, uploading the scrobbler log has *something* at least to do with Rockbox.

I think the real point is that automating the upload, such as preparing PC side software, is somewhat irrelevant as isn't the log format one defined by last.fm, so anything related to it after the log is created is more of a last.fm related question than a Rockbox question?

The point of my previous post is that there's no need for such quick and hostile responses.

Also, I can only say my opinion if this is a rockbox related issue or not. At least it's not completely irrelevant. The ones who decide though, are the forum admins/mods.

Asking questions like "How do I use things included with Rockbox" are fine.

Asking questions like "How do I use this tool from another website, that has a thread at another website explicitly for the purpose of discussion of it, with Rockbox" is not, because it's really the third party tool that's being asked about, and it's not something for discussion here.

There's a thread at misticriver, which he linked, the tool is provided at misticriver, and nothing about it really has anything to do with Rockbox itself other than the logfile provided.

I will agree the first response seemed unnecessarily abrasive. If something has nothing to do with Rockbox, it's important to at least clarify why it's unrelated, or inquire honestly as to why the user things it's something that should be discussed here, as there's alway room for error on both sides.

In this case though, I think it's fairly evident the user's questions should be pursued at the origin of his request, the thread elsewhere.

Sorry about the tone, I didn't intend it to be that abrasive.  I started writing a longer post, pointing him at better resources, but then I thought, "Why should I do his work for him?" and deleted the extra stuff, posting only the first couple sentences.

I don't know, actually. I got a Linxu Bash script from somewhere and I run that.  I don't know exactly where, but it was NOT from rockbox.org.  I don't run the script whenever I plug in my iPod.  I have to look at the script every time I run it because I can never remember the paramaters and I only run it once a month or so when it crosses my mind.  It is excruciatingly likely that I cannot help you with the knowledge I have, and I have 0 interest in learning what you need so I can research your issue for you.  I'm sorry if that sounds harsh, but that's the way it is.  If I knew it off hand, I would have told you.

As an aside, did you ask somewhere on the last.fm site, or at misticriver?

No lectures here, but searching the wiki is usually the best course. http://www.rockbox.org/twiki/bin/view/Main/LastFMLog
