Is anyone able to convert fonts, because I have decided that I'm tired of people going nuts when they look at my ipod. I want it to be as close as I can get it to the original (just when I'm around friends). (Yes I know about rockbox's lack of anti-aliasing) I would really appreciate a rockbox font of Myriad. It's techinically copyrighted or something, but I own/have the font, and if you convert it for me I don't think their will be issues. Myriad, font, Please!

I can upload.. but not sure if i should do that.

You can convert it for yourself. Giving it to anyone else, even for conversion purposes, would be copyright infringement.

But if you have it as a truetype font, you can use font forge to convert to BDF, then bdfconv (included with the rockbox source in the tools folder) to make it into a .fnt.

I have to ask though, if you so badly want the iPod look, why not just use its original firmware?

I'm guessing he wants it to look like the original firmware but still have the kick ass options and abilities that rockbox has that the original firmware does not. Me, I don't really care what rockbox looks like, just as long as I can read the font and have a decent background. I never really got into themes and wps's. Plus rockbox has refused to go into my fonts folder when I go to change my fonts in the settings so I just stop caring about what it looks like haha.

Actually, he said why he wanted it, though I don't quite get it.  My friends all think Rockbox is cool (though none of them have taken the important step).

However, if you use one of the ipod WPSs, a casual glance will fool the... Casual glancer.  No matter what you do, rockbox won't hide from more than a casual glance anyway because you can't change the menus and functionality back to Apple's without booting to the original firmware.
