Apple OS will not boot
« on: October 22, 2006, 11:59:09 AM »
hey guys

i have a 30GB ipod video 5g. when i loaded up rockbox on firmware 1.1.1, everything worked fine. Then i upgraded to 1.2, reloaded rockbox, and now i cant boot into the ipod firmware: the device says "loading ipod firmware" then does a hard reboot and boots into rockbox. any help or suggestions would be much apperciated.

thanx

You probably missed a step in the installation, most commonly a typo while doing one of the two ipod_fw steps to extract either apple_os.bin or the broadcom resource file. Check to see whether you have both files, they both show the same last modified date, and they're both different sizes.
