Speech support stops after pause / stop playing file
(1/1)
pverhoe:
Hi,
I'm visually impaired and installed Rockbox yesterday on my Ipod Nano. Everything seems to work fine, only vocing of menus is stopped after pressing pause / stop button while playing a file. The only way to resolve is turning off and on the Ipod Nano.
On list of blind MP3 player users I read, that people with an iRiver MP3 player had the same problem. They could solve it by changing the WPS theme in something simple. They thought the Peak meter in the WPS screen could cause this problem.
Can somebody help to solve this problem?
BTW:
Sorry if this is the wrong forum. It is not clear to me, where to post.

Because of the way that pause works currently (it pauses all audio output), speech is not possible in this state. This is obviously not ideal, but it's not an easy fix.
Rather than pausing (by pressing play), stop playback by pressing stop. When you press play next time it should resume from where you left off (for most file formats).

Hi,
Sorry, but I thought on IPods Stop / Pause button is the same?

Yes, but tapping it is pause, and holding it for a second is stop (holding it for too long is power off)
