5g dead
« on: October 21, 2006, 11:01:16 AM »
Yesterday i installed rockbox on my ipod 5G
Soon after a problem developed.
While listening to music, suddenly my ipod shut off and i have been unable to get it to start since. Ive tried rebooting it and connecting to just power. Ive tried mounting it on two different computers.

Anyone have any help on this?
Thanks

PS My 5g was about 10 monthes old.

Try charging it for about an hour.

Then flip the hold switch on then off again.

Then hold Menu+Select for about 20 seconds. If that doesn't work, try holding it again, it should work eventually unless your iPod has actually physically died but if your fingers wiggle at all it often fails to work.

Try not to let your battery run out of juice on RockBox

Retail OS doesn't act that much saner when the battery gets to extreme low levels...
