Rockbox with Cowon firmware appearance/design?
« on: October 20, 2006, 07:18:36 PM »
Hello,
I'm prety new with my iaudio x5, and the rockbox at all.
I wanted to know if there is a way, to install the rockbox on my iaudio,
but to stay with the design of cowon?
I'm sorry if it is a stupid question, but I realy dont know...
Thanks. ;D

No not really.

There is WPS design out there that uses the same icons (and backdrop?)... But rockbox is a whole lot different in menues...

http://www.rockbox.org/twiki/bin/view/Main/WpsIaudioX5#JeroenKlomp <- OF-ish design of wps.

Please read the manual and the wiki on how to install WPS config files and customizing your own player. :)

(btw... this does not belong in installing/removal but rather in "WPS and Customization")

I suggest to you:

Use Rockbox for a week or two.  If, after that, you still prefer the old firmware, go back.  But I would be surprised if you did :D

Also, in the future, make your thread titles more descriptive.  "Rockbox" as a thread title in a forum about Rockbox doesn't tell us what your thread is about.

Not to mention the rules specify that we require descriptive thread titles.

I have changed it to something more suitable.
