« on: October 20, 2006, 05:04:42 PM »
I have found a remote control for the ipod video / nano
http://www.advancedmp3players.co.uk/shop/product_info.php?products_id=1501{1}1
I like this remote, but does Rockbox support this remote?
could not find any usefull information abount this remote on the net or this forum.

Rockbox does not support *any* remotes on the iPod at this time.

Will there be any support on remotes in the future ?

that's verry usefull if you are on a train station, at night, because it looks like a cheap 25 dollar mp3 player instead of a expensive ipod 5g :)

There will be support for them if anyone ever reverse engineers the serial protocol.

There's no point in asking "will there ever be X" because the answer is always "If someone does it."

ok, i am not skilled enough for reverse engineering ... so unfortunatly i can't :(
then we'll just have to wait untill someone does the reverse engineering :)
