replacement battery and replacement HD for iriver H140
Mikerman:
I have a 60 gb drive in my (former) iHP-140 (now 160); it functions precisely as before, except that I now have 12 gb of free space left over for use (after I loaded the drive with further material that wouldn't fit onto my old 40 gb drive).

Many thanks for the speedy reply.
Looks like I'll be cracking the piggy bank this weekend and heading over to ebay. I think £150-175 all-in is a good enough deal.
Just gotta find a thread on misticriver about partitioning and all that.
Again, many thanks.
Mikerman:
Best best: do a search for Swissknife (freeware to use to format the drive and partition if desired); you can also search on username "Mike" (I posted on the topic).
OK, I looked a bit:

Wow, thanks.
Been busy and just checked here before heading to misticriver and...voila.
Very informative and just what I needed/was looking for.
I got an 80 gb for £150 p&p included, should be here next week, I'll let you know how it goes.
Again, many thanks, much appreciated. ;D

One last question please.
Can I just copy my Rockbox files from my old 40 gb to my pc, then do all the Swissknife partitioning/formatting, and then recopy those same Rockbox files back onto the new 80 gb??
Or do I have to something else, like reloading a whole new Rockbox, as in the bootloader and all that?
Will the iriver firmware need to be upgraded to the 1.29k and reflashed with Rockbox, and will I need to add the iriver .hex file to the new drive?
Sorry, more than one question, but I just want to make sure, thanks for any help.
