Plans to support Apple Accessory Protocol?

http://ipodlinux.org/Apple_Accessory_Protocol

That would enable Rockbox Ipod to support remotes and car systems (like my Acura).

A low-level serial port driver is in the IPL source, but this is known not to work. This driver needs to be fixed before the high-level Apple Accessory Protocol can be implemented.

Yep.  Likewise looks like IpodLinux is in the same boat.  The Linux folks have a low-level driver with problems, but maybe soon that will be fixed.
