I presume you mean folders ;)

The folders and .wad files should in your player's root i.e.,

x:\games\doom\rockdoom.wad
x:\games\doom\doom1.wad

Have you read the section on the Doom plug-in in the Rockbox Manual?

Apparently you are missing the base wad or it is not in the right location.

You're are still not helping yourself by not describing exactly what your problems are and more importantly, whether you have followed any of the help and directions given so far.

If you can prove (screenshots etc) that you have complied with the directions, I'm sure someone will help...

That's what makes me think you don't have the base wad.  What exactly is in your /games/doom/ folder?

or, you can try using the freedoom. wad, i tried it and it worked for me, i had the same problem and llorean helped me to get it to work.

umm, you should at least put what you have on the folders and what folders you have like

x:\games\doom\rockdoom.wad
x:\games\doom\doom1.wad

if you dont tell us then we wont know how to help you or figure out your mistake

Give us a screenshot of whats exactly in your doom folder. Then we might be able to help you. But maybe some files are corrupted. If all else fails reinstall rockbox and try again.

Im a newbie here, So hello to everyone  ;D

I have a 30gb video ipod, I just recently installed the rockbox, I must say very happy so far. Anyways i had no problems installing doom.

Its as simple as download the (rockdoom.wad.) and (doom1.wad: Doom (Shareware) from here! http://www.rockbox.org/twiki/bin/view/Main/PluginDoom

plug the ipod into the computer, Then go to my computer locate your ipod drive, open the drive, create a new folder in the drive named games, Then open the game folder and inside the folder create a folder named doom. Now copy the rockdoom.wad. and doom1.wad: Doom  into the doom folder now close out eject and enjoy doom!

Anyways thanks to the guys who put this forum and creators of the rockbox i just found this site yesterday. I had no troubles following the directions and installing the rockbox as well as doom. Going to look into some other stuff anyways thanks to all who put this together.
