LINE OUT does not work on 10/16 daily build

Thanks for the response.  I don't think either of those two scenarios is happening.  Others have been able to get their ipods to play via the cable by jury-rigging their own cables.  And others by fiddling with their Ipod to disable the "do not disconnect" window and simply play music from the ipod, and through the cable.

So back to my first question-- do we know line out and digital out are both active on current version of Rockbox for ipod 4g?

Accoring to this site

The Ipod has LINEOUT on the dock, but it's possible my Acura stereo is taking serial out (is that standard on auxiliary inputs?  Auxiliary shows a CD changer, but that goes to a special Ipod mediation box).

So my question is, are all connector functions working with current Rockbox?  I know USB is not.

Here are the connector functions:
1  Ground (-) 1
2  Line Out - Common Ground (-) 1
3  Line Out - R (+)
4  Line Out - L (+)
5  Line In - R (+)
6  Line In - L (+)

8  Video Out - Composite Video (for ipod colour when slideshow activated) 6
9  S-Video Chrominance 7
10 S-Video Luminance 7

12 Serial TxD
13 Serial RxD

15 Ground (-) 2
16 USB GND (-) 2

19 Firewire Power 12 VDC (+) 3
20 Firewire Power 12 VDC (+) 3
21 Accessory Indicator 4
22 FireWire Data TPA (-)
