LINE OUT does not work on 10/16 daily build

I want to use rockbox ipod 4G in my Acura RL, which has a pioneer receiver and a custom accessory cable to the Ipod.  The Acura interface is simply awful-- I navigate music via pushing receiver number buttons to sequentially move up artist names; a bad voice synthesizer says artist name one-by-one until I find an artist, then have to skip songs to the one I want.  It's terrible.

Rockbox Ipod works with the Acura musiclink cable, but I hear no sound.  I think LINE OUT is disabled??

Thanks

Okay, it almost works!  When I plug in Rockbox Ipod, there is no "okay to disconnect", I get the main menu!

But the LINE OUTPUT does not work!  I hear nothing from the Acura musiclink cable.  It listens to the line-out port of the dock.  Anyone else have this problem??  I am using 10/16 daily build.

It is possible that the cable feeds from the digital out; in that case the digital out is disabled.

Also, I do not get an indication my Ipod is charging via cable (nor on my Altec Lansing speaker dock).

First of all, does it work with the Apple firmware?

starmanj:
Yes it does.  But the ipod goes into "do not disconnect" mode to play music.  Some people have been able to force the Ipod to stay in menu mode, so they can play music using the Ipod's apple interface.  I am trying to do the same thing with the Rockbox interface.

Either Rockbox is shutting off the Lineout or Digital out h/w when the cable is plugged in.

Llorean:
Okay, you've said that you use the buttons on the part in the car to navigate the music.

This means one of two things:
1) Your MP3 player is communicated directly with the Apple firmware. If this is true, it will not work with Rockbox.
2) Your MP3 player is reading the files from the disk. If this is true, it will not work except while the iPod is in disk mode, and even then may not work if your player expects a valid iTunes database and you don't have one.
