iRiver H320: replacing hard disk
(1/1)
gvoc:
Hi all,
is it possible to replace the 20 GB HD of my iRiver H320 with a bigger one (eg. Toshiba 60GB)? What should I care of?
Thank you in advance
Gaetano
cdmackay:
The h320, being thinner, can only take the single-platter disks. I believe there is a new one coming out from Toshiba soon.
The fatter h340 takes the double-platter disks.
There's a good (sticky) post on misticriver covering all of this.

One good description for H300s is here:

for H100 series here:

Be aware of the new drives with the ZIF connector which is not compatible with the old one. If anyone knows more about the ZIF connector - like if it is possible to replace it let us know please.
