how remove or modify the usb charging plugin ?
« on: October 13, 2006, 03:17:46 AM »
Hello, I fryed my usb connection, by connecting to a bad usb port. The usb still work for UMS and transers, but now the dap puts itself in usb charging mode even when not connected.
On the iriver firmware it works fine until I try to shut it down. It then goes to sub charging.

This is why I switched to rockbox, but since recent versions, I can't switchoff the H340, probably because rockbox changed the usb handeling.

If you could help to detect what changed since it could help me to do custom builds.

Could it be related to the bootloader ?

- USB is not a plugin, its builtin.
- afaik there wasn't a change in usb handling.
- if you want to see what changed take a look at the cvs logs. The frontpage has all changes since 2.5 ...

Go to the H300 FAQ section on misticriver.net and look for the FAQ entitled "How to solve the (rare) always connected problem."  There is a solution described there that involves shorting the two outer pins of the USB connector.  This may resolve your problem.
