Broblem with X5 playing all folders
« on: October 10, 2006, 08:37:35 AM »
i installed the rockbox on my Iaudio x5... it's working well beside one problem.
when i used the original firmware i'd used to listen to one album and then it would have gone to the next... and then it would have gone to the next band... my files are sorted like this.

Music/Band(exemple)/Album/song.mp3

when i use the rockbox it only plays one album...
if it's a 12 songs album it will play 12 songs and then repeat or stop... insted of moving to the next album...

how can i change the way it works... i want it to work like in the original formware!...

please suggest any solutions

P.S
i am not an english speaker so try to ignore mistakes...

Turn on the "Auto change directory" setting:

General Settings --> Playback --> Auto-Change Directory --> Yes

Turn on recursivly insert folders, then from the context menu for the upermost folder you want to shuffle (e.g. Music if you have music/artist/album) select playlist, then insert.  This will create a playlist of all songs within music.  Save the playlist, turn shuffle on and then play the playlist, et voila.
