I'm posting this to stop the confusion i have seen on these forums about the ipod types. If you see something like 2g, it DOESNT mean 2gb (disk size) it stands for 2nd Generation. So when you are saying what ipod you have, please say the size and the generation number.

Now if only we could do something about posts with ambiguous and unclear subjects.  

Frankly, I think the majority of people are aware of what 2G, 3G etc means with regards to iPod. While I appreciate the thought behind the post, I highly doubt that anyone who doesn't realise this would happen to click on a post titled simply 'FYI' to find out.

Yes, I would certainly qualify this as a misleading post. On the other hand, if people simply read the Posting Guidelinses in the announcement forum, and followed them, both the problems mentioned with this post AND the problems with ambiguity over generations vs gigabytes would be resolved/
