Cannot connect iPOD to PC !!!!!

(1/1)

os00:
Somehow i managed to upload bad boot image to my bright new iPOD video. Im not even sure what happened or where was the mistake. Now rockbox wont boot at all, instead of it after some time i get straightly to apple firmware. But this firmware is bad too. After few clicks (any button) it freezes and I have to restart. However the worst thing is that  I cant connect it to PC. When I plug it into USB, it is identified by the system as USB mass storage device, but nothing else. It never appears again as a new disk in the system. I cant access it, I cant remove it ... nothing. iTunes does not see it too. I didnt even think this can happen ? .... :-(((

Llorean:
Have you tried booting it into emergency disk mode?

os00:
How can I do that ?
BTW I read the troubleshooting Chapter of the iPods manual.. and it is not very logical -  there is section "If you connect iPod to your computer and nothing happens". In this section there is suggestion that I should restore ipods software. But in restore section the first step is to select iPOD in iTunes...I cant do it.. its not there at all (after all when i connect it to the computer and nothing happens it isnt very probable it will appear in iTunes too... any other time id say its rather funny but now.. im really sad..

os00:
I have already found what is that emergency mode ! and it seems to work... Thank you for the hint very much !!!!!! I really appreciate it.
