n64 = 5g ipod?

I was thinking... could you put an N64 emulator in the viewers folder, and run n64 roms similar to how rockboy runs?  hopefully this is possible, if it isn't, i'd like to know so I don't waste my time. :)

The iPods aren't even close to powerful enough for that.

Considering the CPU in the N64 was actually faster than the iPod CPU, while you could in theory emulate it, I imagine you'd get results measurable in the "Minutes per Frame" rather than the standard "Frames per Second"

What would be the first step in trying to emulate it?  I have alot of free time this weekend, and I wouldn't mind trying something like that.

Also, would it be possible to run "ines" on rockbox? (iNes is an Nes Emulator used for iPodLinux, but I'm not a fan of iPodLinux. :P)

Why bother trying to emulate it at all? As I said the games will be entirely unplayable.

iNes couldn't be run straight, but assuming they have C versions of any assembly optimized code, could probably be made into a Rockbox plugin.

I don't know really why I would bother, I thought it would be a good learning experience, but if it really wouldn't run at all,..

Ok thanks for the help
Have a good one.
