Flashing?

No. Well, "reformatting" followed by "using the restore tool". But there are also official uninstallation instructions.

Are you refering to the iTunes restore tool here? or some other RockBox tool?

I would like to do a clean install of rcok box on my iPod 5G 30Gig but dont want to remove any of the original stuff/re format till I know how to restore all back to factory.

iTunes "Restore" option will set it back to "Factory".
