Flashing?

Does installing rockbox require any flashing? Does it make any cahnges which I couldn't undo by reformatting the disk?

No. Well, "reformatting" followed by "using the restore tool". But there are also official uninstallation instructions.

Are you refering to the iTunes restore tool here? or some other RockBox tool?

I would like to do a clean install of rcok box on my iPod 5G 30Gig but dont want to remove any of the original stuff/re format till I know how to restore all back to factory.

iTunes "Restore" option will set it back to "Factory".
