tag cache error
« on: October 05, 2006, 07:57:21 PM »
i am not sure if this is a know bug or even if it is common but the tag cache database will mix up songs every once in a while, what happens is i could be in the middle of a song and then another song will start playing cutting out the rest of the currently playing song has anyone had this happen to them and is there a certain way to fix it in addition to rebuilding the database

Are you sure it's a tagcache thing, or even a rockbox thing?  Try copying the file back off your DAP and listenign to it on your computer.

I'm asking this because there's an issue, at least with Linux, where copying files to the iPod (in particular, but it could be others) corrupts the files on very rare occasions.

i know it is not a problem with the way the songs are recorded or even the way they are copied because sometimes if  i restart the player then the whole song will play. i would just like to know if what is happening is a known bug and if there is a certain way that it has to be corrected
