Ah, excellent!  The custom build is working like a charm so far; i.e., it actually booted.  Whether it plays music or not is yet to be discovered, but it's already an improvement.  Thank you!

If you need, I can email you the zip of the 9-01 build.  I'm interested to try out this custom-build now though to see how it holds up.
