Here's where the port stands:


* The instructions in the wiki have been updated. You can currently download a build from the wiki page. Bootloaders will be available very soon.
* The installation method is quite similar to other mi4-based PP targets (H10, m:robe, YH-92x, etc.)
Once the bootloaders are available for download, then this should can be promoted to Unstable status.

lowlight:
Just fyi, the hdd1620/1820/6320 do not have radio hardware. Currently there is no auto detection of  the radio chip (I'm not sure if it's possible). So, if you have one of these players, the radio will show up in the main menu, but will not work.

LambdaCalculus:
I'm sure we can easily implement auto detection of the radio hardware. I have to repair my HDD1630 before I can do this, though.

The Philips GoGear HDD16x0 series was promoted to Unstable last night, so I think we can finally go ahead and lock this thread.

Whatever work needs to be done now (radio detection, etc.) will go into SVN as it's done. If you wish to install Rockbox on your GoGear HDD16x0, please follow the link in the above post. Any questions should go into the appropriate section of the forums.
