H10 FM Tuner question
« on: October 03, 2006, 02:58:28 PM »
I installed rockbox and al is fine except the FM tuner function. How do you use it within rockbox?
On the FAQ it says:
Quote
Is the FM-tuner be supported?
Yes. Presets are available, Add a preset via the "add" option in the radio menu, and press ON/PLAY button to bring up the list of presets.
but i cannot find the radio menu, where is it?

Which FAQ exactly are you referring to?

AFAIK the FM tuner on the H10 is still unsupported. You're sure you aren't referring to the h100 / h300 series?

The "IriverFAQ" doesn't actually have the text he's quoting, so I'm quite curious where the information has come from so I can make it more clear what player it's for, or not.

It has. At least when I looked at it a couple of minutes ago.
I added a hint that the IriverFAQ applies mostly only to h100 and h300 series. In that sense, iriver != H10 as it's a different architecture. The FAQ definitely needs to get extended ...

Odd, I swear when I searched it I couldn't find the text, and I cut 'n paste and everything. Apparently I just suck. :)

Thanks. It was not very clear which model the FAQ was refering to. Any hope to see this implemented for the H10 a well? ???

Yes, just to clarify, the H10 doesn't support the FM Tuner on Rockbox just yet and I've been pretty bad about keeping the H10 parts of the wiki updated so it's probably quite out of date. I'm sure someone will work on getting the tuner before long. It's the same tuner chip as in the H300, so that should simplify things a bit.
