USB sound suggestion
barrywardell:
I think this page should clarify things a bit: http://www.rockbox.org/twiki/bin/view/Main/PortPinAssignments#H10_Data_Cable
As will this thread on misticriver: http://misticriver.net/showthread.php?t=26615
As you can see, the H10 data cable has the normal USB pins and also has line in and line out, which are normally accessed using the dock. So thinks are pretty much as Febs says - wafflesomd wants to be able to connect to the line out on the data cable, but he seems to have confused things a bit by mistakenly calling it USB. He needs to make a custom connector and connect a jack plug to pins 4 and 16 which are the line-out pins.
wafflesomd:
Sry about calling it usb.
I guess I could call it the data cable.
Febs:
Calling it a data cable suggests that it carries data, when in fact it carries an analog audio signal. Why not just call it a line-out cable?
wafflesomd:
Ok, that works.
Llorean:
Also, remember, *full words*, not things like "sry".
