Really odd. Pin 4 in a USB cable is Ground.
Llorean:
He means pin 4 in the H10 dock connector, I assume. He seems incapable of differentiating to two for some unknown reason.

I really doubt that.
A USB connector (and thus a USB cable) has only digital signals. BUT as the H10 uses a special connector it *is* possible (and it seems to be done) that *that* connector has an output of the analog signal.
Could you please write specific enough? You description is simply misleading as it is not possible to get analog output on a USB connector. Your cable has two ends, and those are different.
wafflesomd:
And none of you beleive me, ok.
Here, let me say this:
TRY IT YOURSELF
Cuase most likely, you still wont beleive when I publish all this.
None of you have tried this? right? So how can you claim it doesnt work?
And bluebrother, my description does suck, I know, but it was late, and I was excited.
I'll post a link on misticriver with a worklog once I get new sync cable heads to make actual seperate cables.

We believe that you were able to get sound from the dock connector. What we don't believe is that the sound has anything whatsoever to do with USB.
A USB CABLE DOES NOT HAVE ANALOG AUDIO OUTPUT!
If what you actually did was to hook up to the DOCK CONNECTOR, then that is perfectly plausible--in fact, it is consistent what we have been saying throughout this entire thread. We've wasted 2 pages of this thread trying to decipher exactly what it is that you mean, and to help you understand the difference between the USB and the line out, and when we finally figure it out and it seems that everyone is on the same page, you prcoeed to carelessly use the phrase "USB" when you clearly mean something else, throwing the entire thread into confusion once again.
