RockBox and Alpine CDA-9856

I have an Alpine CDA-9856 CD player in my car.  It also supports ipods.  I was curious if it would read the rockbox install without any issues?  I'm really interested in rockbox, but I dont use my ipod for much other than my car, so it would be senseless for me to make the switch if it doesnt work.  Thanks for the info

Probably not.  It depends on how much your player "supports ipods"

If you can listen to what's playing on your ipod through your speakers, that *might* still work in rockbox.
If you can control the playback with your radio controls, that will NOT work.

Trying it is free, though...

Yeah, its a "makes it so you can use the radio controls"  Damn, I really like rockbox too.  Oh well
