Basic(ist) of playlist questions

Llorean:
I told you that there is not any special place or special way needed as long as it's an m3u playlist. What file view mode are you in? Are your playlists .m3u type? Where are you putting it. I don't know what you mean by "files that make up the content of what I can see" but I have to wonder if you're putting it in the .rockbox folder or something. You *are* in file view and not tagcache view, right? A playlist is a file.

Also, just as a note, it's spelled "Rockbox".

nk144:
Ok well I have winamp, yes they are m3u playlists and that's how I save them.
If I save it anywhere on my rocbox *btw it is rocbox I'm looking at it right now (the physical mp3 player I have says "rocbox" on it...* Anyway nowhere that I save it to the mp3 player does it recongnize it and can I play off of it. Thus I'm assuming it requires something I'm not doing...

Llorean:
Okay, here's the deal. This site is for the Rockbox SOFTWARE. If you have an MP3 player that says "Rocbox" on it, then I'm guessing you have an unsupported MP3 player, since we don't support any named Rocbox. So, your question does not belong here.

Febs:
Wow, apparently we have a lot of work to do, Llorean.  We're going to have to change the spelling of the badges, the logo, the website domain, the manual, and all of those other places where we've used the incorrect spelling "Rockbox."

/me rolls his eyes.

nk144, what is your "Show Files" setting?  (If you don't know what the "Show Files" setting means, please read section 7.2 of the manual before posting again.)

Llorean:
There are actually physical players called "Rocbox": http://003920a.netsolhost.com/images/rocbox.htm.gif
I honestly think he might be in the wrong place.
