Adding Songs To Playlists

(1/2) > >>

nenapod2:
I've been using rockbox for a while on my 5g iPod Video. One thing I've never been able to do is add songs to my playlist. I make a playlist (root.m3u) and try all these button combos.... Whenever I try to view it, it gives me the file (i.e. like 1.2ff5, 2.rg8f, etc.). Can anyone tell me how to make playlists with rockbox?

Thanks

I don't understand what you want to do with a generated root playlist. Also, the playlist shows the file names, not the tags. You most probably want to use Tagcache and use the context menu.

I'm working (very slowly, as it's an extremely low priority in my life) on a patch to show file info instead of file names.

Have a look at sections 4.1.2 and 4.1.3 of The Rockbox Manual.  It explains how to insert and queue songs in a playlist.

I meant while on the computer. I know how to do it in RockBox, it's just too arduous....
